"explorer.exe the app didn't start in the required time" 2. mentioned something about frame error of some sorts...I have ran sfc /scannow; repaired & restarted the settings app; even followed tutorials suggesting using a powershell command to reset a package but nothing works - the settings work without issu

  2. Double Tap doesn`t work on Lumia 620

    Hello,

Double Tap to wake doesn`t work at my Lumia 620. I have all on in settings but still doesn`t work. I`m pretty sure that in update AMBER or BLACK this function works properly. But after DENIM update doesn`t. Maybe you are planning some update for this future
    ?

    Thanks

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

    Thanks again!!

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

I ran SeaTools. These are the results:

Does it mean my HDD is useless?

Setting up an old 1:1 display as a second monitor

Thank you very much for reaching out! As an Independent Advisor and fellow Microsoft user, I'm more than happy to assist you.

To address the issue of black bars appearing on the sides and top of your monitors after setting up a second monitor, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Display Settings in Windows

    • Open Display Settings: Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings" or go to Start > Settings > System > Display.
    • Multiple Displays: Ensure that the "Multiple displays" option is set to "Extend these displays" if you want to use the second monitor as an extension of your desktop.
    • Resolution: Make sure each monitor is set to its native resolution. For example, set the 1440p monitor to 2560x1440 and the 1080p monitor to 1920x1080.

    2. Adjust Settings in NVIDIA Control Panel

    • Open NVIDIA Control Panel: Right-click on your desktop and select "NVIDIA Control Panel".
    • Adjust Desktop Size and Position: Navigate to "Adjust desktop size and position" under the "Display" section.
      • Scaling Mode: Set the scaling mode to "Aspect ratio".
      • Desktop Resizing: If the aspect ratio setting does not resolve the issue, go to the "Size" tab next to the "Scaling" tab and enable desktop resizing. Adjust the sliders to fit the screen properly.

    3. Check Monitor Settings

    • Built-in Monitor Menu: Use the buttons on your monitor to access the built-in menu. Look for options related to screen size, aspect ratio, or scaling. Adjust these settings to ensure the image fits the screen without black bars.

    4. Update and Reinstall Drivers

    • Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. You can do this through the NVIDIA GeForce Experience app or by downloading the latest drivers from the NVIDIA website.
    • Reinstall Drivers: If updating does not help, try uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers.

    5. Use Correct Cables and Ports

    • Check Connections: Ensure that you are using the correct cables and ports. For example, use DisplayPort for the 1440p monitor and HDMI for the 1080p monitor, as you mentioned. Swapping cables and ports can sometimes resolve display issues.

    6. Advanced Display Settings

    • Advanced Display Settings: Go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings. Here, you can check and adjust the active signal resolution and other advanced settings.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue of black bars on your monitors and ensure that both displays are properly configured.

Please feel free to reach out if you require any additional assistance. I'm here to help!
