    Settings App & UAC Off

I run with the UAC slider all the way down, it does not prevent Setting or Apps from running. What does prevent it is a registry change:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
    Key: EnableLUA
    Value data: 0

I must be wrong. It's not working now.
It worked the first time ... don't know.

Sorry everyone. I've about had it with this technical preview.
I don't have a clue what is going on.
I was trying to demo my point and I click on restart and all that appears is the spinning beach balls for 10 minutes. Then the wallpaper is messed up and no changes have been made to the registry.
Spartan (edge) is a PIA trying to post. Easier with IE.

I am out. Going back to my primary OS. (server 2012)
In Ten Preview, items are not getting pinned when you select "pin to start"
Nothing is getting pinned. The full screen tile page is annoying.
No tile icons can be edited. Universal Apps most often cannot run in a window, they require full screen anyway.

The NORMAL method of setting up a picture slide show (for wallpaper) is broken.
    Enough already.

Aw come on, tell us what you really think! Enough beating around the bush.

  5. Hmm, well then why did I get that message about the Settings app anyway? I haven't gotten around to registry hacks yet... and haven't even used any tweaking apps either.

I think, for practical purposes, most of us would refer to the slider being down as "UAC Off", where the Registry setting is "UAC Disabled". Maybe?

All I can say for sure is with the slider all the way to the bottom and EnableLUA set to 1, I can use Settings, Store and all Apps.
If I set EnableLUA to 0 then I cannot use any of them.
