Windows 10: Settings hang when i click on any article related to windows activation

Hello. im experiencing a problem with windows activation. i installed windows 10 on a hp laptop from a usbi got the setup and driver from hp website. i also got a product key from a retailer and i entered the key when running setup. everything went perfectly. when the setup is done, i went to check activation status and the settings hang. ive tried troubleshooting but couldnt detect any problem. ive tried several methods of checking the activation status as well but couldnt find any information of it. please let me know what causes this problem and possible solutions to it. thank you

The error code 0x80072F8F usually means that the system settings is not properly set up. Since the Internet connection and the date and time is properly set up, we suggest running the Activation troubleshooter to further analyze what's causing
