Windows 10: settings issue: trying to navigate settings but it closes automatically

im trying to navigate settings but it closes automatically. tried the troubleshooter and sfc but didnt work.

Method 1:

If you have any third party antivirus software installed on the computer, I suggest you to uninstall that and then try to open Windows Defender settings.

Disclaimer: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable or uninstall your antivirus software.
If you have to temporarily disable or uninstall it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled or uninstalled, your computer is vulnerable
to attacks.

Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to set the computer in a clean boot state and check. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help to identify if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

Windows 10 Upgrade issue -screen brightness setting

I would suggest to follow the steps below and check if it help

  Type Display in the search windows, Click on
  display setting.

  On the middle field, use slider to turn off
  automatic adjustment.
  
• 
  Close the windows tab.
