Basically I'm trying to create a specific drive for Store Apps (and Xbox app games) to install to. This can only be changed by altering the Storage Settings -> Change where new content is saved options. For some reason the dropdown only shows my C, D, E and F drives, even though I have 2 more, and also doesn't show up if I create additional partitions on any of the existing drives.

As you can see the drives are otherwise perfectly functional. It just seems that the modern Settings app doesn't understand how to show more than 4 drives... Also Storage Spaces can't show more than the first 4 drives either, which is probably the same root problem, but annoying for completely different reasons.

  2. File Explorer in "This PC" doesn't show C, D, E or F drives

    Windows 10 home 1703 15063.413 - file explorer in "This PC" no longer displays C - D - E or F drives - why?

These drives all work properly - just will not show up in file explorer???

I can access all these drives other ways, (so it is NOT drive(s) problem) but not as easy to do as with - file explorer - please explain OR tell me how to correct this problem

    Moved from Insider

    Original title: explorer (file)

  3. Nokia 700 C: D: and E: internal drives showing

On my 700 I have a C, D and an E drive showing. There is 1.4 GB of 1.5 GB available on drive E free and 293.1MB out of 293.2MB free on the D drive . Why is it there, what goes in it and can I combine it somehow with Drive C so I have more internal working
    space?

What does the phone use D and E for?

  4. Settings not showing drives past C,D,E,F, despite more drives working just fine elsewhere...

My data folders (Documents, Pictures, Videos, Music, etc) are on DRIVE E: not Drive C:

I THINK the programs are looking in the wrong place.

All my Programs are stored on Drive C:

Drive D: is my Recovery Image

Drive E: is where all my Data files were stored (Documents-Pictures-Videos, etc).

    Drive F: has: Clipart-Document Themes 14-Media-MSOCache-Office 14 - Stationery - and Templates.

Hewlett Packard set my computer system up.

Before I did what you suggested above about MOVING files - I had only one listing for Drive ESettings not showing drives past C,D,E,F, despite more drives working just fine elsewhere... :(DATADRIVE1-Docs-Pics-Video-Music). Now Drive E: shows up listed under THIS PC as E:\ (and it contains ALL my data - docs-Pics-Video-Music)). All these data
folders also show up listed under THIS PC in the DOCUMENT folder; AND, all the datat folders also show up in DATADRIVE1-Docs-Pixs-Music-Video!!!! Whatever happened when I moved the files caused them to appear in several places!

I don't think the programs know where to find anything!!!! DUD!

I also have 4 external Western Digital hard drives (but I don't have all of them plugged in simultaneously). My problem with the external hard drives is that now Windows does recognize my 6 TB one - I know it is working because the little light is on and
blinking....the drive just does not show up in File Explorer.

    Do you have any suggestions?
