Settings Page Visibility Group Policy causing settings app to crash in Windows 11

Hi,I am fairly new to Active Directory and Group Policy Management and am encountering an issue with applying a group policy.I want to apply the Settings Page Visibility policy for an office environment that consists of mainly Windows 11 computers. To my knowledge, this policy allows administrators to hide/show only specific settings pages to users and I intend to show only the Display and Printers & Scanners menus. The option I set for the policy was: showonly:display;printersHowever, after configuring the policy and applying it, the settings app on the Windows 11 computers

Software setting group policy empty after update(s)

Mainly used on Domains when IT wants to have policies on all machines to do things that they do not want the desktop users to do, It is always going to be a empty page on a normal desktop. Local Group Policy Editor Components
    • Computer Configuration: These policies apply to the local computer, and do not change per user.
    • User Configuration: These policies apply to users on the local machine, and will apply to any new users in the future, on this local computer.
    • Those two main categories are further broken down into sub-categories:
    • Software Settings: Software settings contain software specific group policies: this setting is empty by default.

Is it possible to set up Group Policy Management Console in Win 10?

    Just as the title says.

I'm creating an organizational unit for a set of computers at work, controlled by Group Policy. Basically, I'm using a Windows 11 PC which is a dumb terminal to communicate with our server to make Group Policy modifications. The problem is that I don't have the necessary templates installed.

My work computer is a Windows 10 PC. It's in a different location and I'm not able to RDP into it from the station I use to set policies. I basically would like to look at available group policies and options on my regular computer, first, since I can actually install templates on it. Local Group Policy (GPEDIT.msc) is not an exact listing of what's available through GPMC.

Can it be installed on Window 10? If so, what steps can I take to actually get it to work?

I actually was able to install it, but that's as far as I got, so it currently does nothing and is completely blank.

Settings Page Visibility Group Policy causing settings app to crash in Windows 11

Win11 ms-settings:yourinfo doesn't show Account section in Settings app when set from Group policy

    Hello,

When I use "settings page visibility" from Group Policy Editor to show only selected sections in Settings app. I noticed that the Account section doesn't show up in settings.

For instance, when I use this:

    showonly:yourinfo;signinoptions;printers;dateandtime

It shows Printers, date and time settings, but it doesn't show the Account section altogether despite I use "yourinfo" and "signinoptions" from the Account section.

Is this a known bug in Windows 11 or is there a new URI for these settings in Windows 11?
