Hi,I'm having a small, seemingly 'cosmetic' issue with menus under Settings > Privacy & Security > App Permissions, for example Location or Microphone etc.Whilst looking through the Location menu I saw that a specific program, 'Aerosoft's - Honeycomb - MSFS', was accessing my location on a regular basis. This program is a Microsoft Flight Simulator hardware driver, so I was confused and slightly concerned as to why it was accessing my location.I then noticed that it has the Microsoft Edge icon. Sure enough, opening Edge causes the location icon to pop up in the tray area, saying that

    App Permissions

    Hi Tony,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Some apps require certain permissions to work properly. However, you can change the permissions given to the apps by following the below steps:

    1. Click on Start.
    2. Click on Settings and then click on Privacy.
    3. Under the App Permissions you can change the permissions which are assigned for the apps.

However, you can go through the
    Microsoft Privacy Statement
    .

    Hope it helps.

How do I remove an app from privacy permissions?

Thanks, so that's one in the list, but the others aren't, but are shown in Settings....

But you do have two, so if you find both of them together in a key that looks vaguely promising...
    Example of search in progress:

Settings > Privacy & Security > App Permissions / Microsoft Edge Incorrect App Name showing... [IMG]

Here's the list for Store apps just for interest:

    Privacy - background apps query

I wanted to turn off Edge, so went to settings / privacy - and clicked on running background apps.
My other pc's show a fairly comprehensive list, but this Windows 10. 32 bit laptop shows just one entry for Skype.
Any thoughts how I can restore the anticipated list.
    Thanks
