Windows 10: Settings, Task Bar, Microsoft Store, and the home button do not work.

I recently bought a new laptop and a few hours after having bought the laptop I downloaded the latest drivers off of the Intel website. Immediately following the downloading of the drivers I rebooted my laptop and opened it to see that none of those things would open at all but on the other hand Google steam epic games launcher Microsoft edge and most other appliances will open including file explorer but for some reason those few things will not I need help with this let me know what I should do

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

Windows 10 Start button, task bar menu and swipe does not work

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my query. But unfortunately this has not helped. Let me give you some more information on this.

I had tried all the remedies that you can find when you type in "Windows 10 start button is not working' in bing or google... ie. powershell.. safe boot etc.. non of them worked and then I wrote to the window community.

I have tried all the steps you have told me to do, but it has not helped me as the start button still does not work. also the window store icon and mail icon in the task bar is also invisible and only when I put the cursor on those it only shows the name
i.e store or Mail. They are also not working when click them.

I am really in trouble as I can not use the start button as I should be able to.

PLEASE HELP... When would Microsoft have an remedy for this....

Add a button to the address bar.

I would like to add the Zoom button to my new Edge address bar. Have found the following how to do it on the web but they don't work like the instructions say.

How to manage the address bar buttons on Microsoft Edge

To customize the buttons that appear next to the address bar, use these steps:

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Click the Settings and more menu button on the top-right corner. (I assume that is the three dots in a row)
3. Select the Show in toolbar sub-menu. (Don't see 'Show in toobar)
4. Click the action button that you want to add or remove from the toolbar.
