  2. How to transfer old files to a new PC, both Windows 10

    Hi,

There are various methods of transferring files on a computer. Examples are: moving or copying files via network HomeGroup, transferring to an external hard drive and copying them to a new PC, or uploading to OneDrive then download it to a new PC (requires
a stable connection). For us to answer your question regarding with transferring files, we’d like to know the following:

    • The size of the files you are copying
    • If you belong to a HomeGroup network
    • If you are using a wired or wireless connection
    • The setup of network that you have (Local area network or Wide area network)

We’re looking forward to your response.

  3. Transfer all files from old PC to new one

Windows Easy Transfer is not available in Windows 10

    • But now for the good news: Microsoft has partnered with Laplink to bring you

      PCmover Express
      – a tool for transferring selected files, folders and more from your old Windows PC to your new Windows 10 PC. And even more good news – it’s free!

What is best method for replacing Win7 pc with Win10 pc and OneDrive files synching

I am finally replacing old pc (Win7) with a new pc (Win10). Old pc set up with OneDrive for Business with MS 365 Business Basic email/license.

Have files in OneDrive folder set to syc to BOTH cloud and pc. This acts as internal fileserver for small company and shared with employees to access on cloud.

Do I need to set up new pc with SAME MS account only or also with same pc name (for networking)?

Do I unlink old pc under OneDrive settings? Then setup OneDrive on new pc?

Will files on cloud be confused with files on new pc? I have backed up files on old pc to external drive and plan to manually transfer to new pc.

    What do you suggest?
