    Several crashes - blue screens

    Hey all,

The last two days I have been experiencing with Windows 10 several blue screens (CRITICAL PROCESS DIED). This happened while using Reason 8 (music production program), while listening to music, while playing dota 2 (several times here) and when turning on the laptop. I'm not a computer expert and googling the problem didn't help so I'm clueless.

Several weeks ago I downloaded Windows 10, before this I had Windows 8 and didn't ever have this problem.

Could someone pls help me, see attachment for the details.
    Thanks a lot guys!

    :)

    Blue-screen with irql_not_less_or_equal error.

Original title : Frequent Blue-Screen Errors.

I've been having an issue since the latest windows 10 update. I get several blue-screen errors a day now. Usually when it crashes, the error is irql_not_less_or_equal. Any thoughts or opinions?

Please download Speccy and upload a copy of the report it produces to OneDrive. To obtain a report select File,
Save as Text file. It helps to obtain the report at a time when the system is under pressure and temperatures may be higher than normal:
    CCleaner.com - Using Speccy

Please restart your computer, allow 30 minutes for the system to run before uploading further information so that the impact of making changes can become apparent.

Please upload to your One Drive and share with everyone a copy of your
System log file from your Event Viewer and post a link here. Please remove any earlier copies of the logs from your OneDrive.

To access the System log select the keyboard shortcut Win+R, type
eventvwr.msc and press the ENTER key. From the list in the left side of the window select Windows Logs and System. Place the cursor on System, select Action from the Menu and
Save All Events as (the default evtx file type) and give the file a name. Do
not provide filtered files. Do not place the cursor in the list of reports before selecting Action from the menu. Do
not clear logs whilst you have a continuing problem.

    Clean boot
    Please try the following:
    • Open taskmanager
      • Go to the tab startup
      • disable everything
    • Search msconfig and open it
      • Go to the tab services
      • Check 'hide microsoft services'
      • Uncheck all other services
      • Click apply and click ok
    • Reboot if asked
See if the problem persist, if the problem does not persist enable in the startup tab in taskmanager 1 item and in the services tab in msconfig also 1 service, reboot and see if the problem persist. Keep doing this until you find the culprit or there is nothing left.
If the problem still persist, try booting in safe mode and see if the problem still persist

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    • Uninstall Daemon Tools
    • Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Thanks for the reply. My current BIOS is: American Megatrends Inc. E16GAIMS.513, 8/11/2012
Which version do I need for the update? And is it safe to do this on my own?

P.S. I almost deleted all software on my laptop and still experiencing the same problem. More and more it seems. Especially when restarting the computer it crashes.

    Thx for the reply!

    Several crashes - blue screens

According to the services (driver and BIOS updates support) of MSI, your laptop hasn't been tested for Windows 10.

Please put the information in your 'My System Specs', that'll be easier for others to quickly see them when needed *SmileHow to fill in your system specs:

I put the information on 'My System Specs'. The best I could.

Hmm, so what now, downgrade to Windows 8.1? Is a Windows 10 clean install going to help?

Downgrade to Windows 8, I wouldn't recommend to stay in Windows 10, there are no drivers Windows 10 compatible.

I downgraded to Windows 8 and there are no crashes anymore. Everything is working fluently. So thx for the help.
