  1. Several Network Adapters not visible in Device Manager after installing Windows 10

I finished building my wife's PC today, after installing windows 10 on her device it is completely unable to connect to the internet in any way. I have attempted several recommended command prompt processes, including"netcfg -d""netsh winsock reset""netsh int ip reset""netsh advfirewall reset""ipconfig / flushdns""ipconfig / release""ipconfig / renew"all followed by a restart of course. I've tried running the troubleshooter which just tells me that I'm not connected to the internet. I've attempted to search for hardware changes within device manager, shows nothing, I've tried reinstalling all

    :)

Wireless adapter not found in Device Manager

I ran the Lenovo Solution Center. Network Adapter was not listed in the hardware scanned. Not sure if there is a separate listing for that normally or not.

Ever since I ran a power cycle the adapter has not appeared in the Device Manager.

Does anyone believe removing the adapter and putting it back would solve the issue? I would rather not open my computer if there is little chance of it solving the issue. I am a complete novice doing this.

Not sure if this is relevant but in my Network Adapter in Device Manager there was "Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter". It has since disappeared.

Wifi adapter not shown in network selection but in device manager

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand the inconvenience caused. I will be glad to assist you with this.

A network adapter driver is software used by your PC to communicate with your wireless network adapter. Outdated, incompatible, or damaged network adapter drivers can prevent network connections or cause intermittent
    disconnections.

If you recently upgraded from one Windows operating system to another, it's possible that the current network adapter driver was designed for the previous Windows operating system. If you've had recent power outages, viruses, or
other PC problems, it's possible that the driver has become damaged.

Kindly follow the below methods and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

    Method 1:

I suggest you to follow the steps in the articles below and check if it helps.

Connect to a Wi-Fi network in Windows - Microsoft Support

Fix Wi-Fi connection issues in Windows - Microsoft Support

    Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the external adapter from device manager and check if it helps. You may follow the steps below.

    • Right Click on Start, Select Device Manager.

    • Find and double-click the category of device whose driver you wish to uninstall.

    • Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.

    • Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click
      OK to remove the driver.

    • After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer as soon as possible.

    Method 3:

If the issue still persist I suggest you to update the drivers in compatibility mode and check if it helps:

    a. Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website.

    b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
    ‘properties’.

    c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select operating system from the drop down menu.

    d. Click on ‘Apply’ and click
    ‘OK’
and run the file to install it.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance with Windows, we’ll be glad to assist you.
