    Pwdspio Service Error ID 7000?

I've started getting the following pwdspio error following the upgrade. What is the pwdspio service so I can track down the error? Note the pwdspio.sys file is present in the SYSTEM32 folder.

    Error Service Control Manager 7000

  3. PC spits multiple Service Control Manager errors on recovering from sleep.

Have a problem with my PC after it sleeps. It will get very selective about what it will run or start, including cmd prompt as admin, task manager, Chrome, event viewer. Other things are fine - Explorer, Outlook, Word.

It then won't restart - hanging at the blue "restarting" screen and has to be hard powered off. Once powered back on it's fine!

Problem seems to start on 26/nov - Windows update installed KB3120677 on 25/Nov and Acrobat Reader was updated to "DC" on 26/Nov. Maybe coincidence, maybe not? Reluctant to uninstall - advice please?

    Error messages include

the service cannot accept control messages at this time

The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion

Have so far tried the most obvious remediation steps:

SFC /scannow -> no errors discovered

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth -> no component store corruption detected

Have also uninstalled Kaspersky 16 and reproduced the issue - so now reinstalled!

Cleaned up the most recent software installs, except Office 365 ( last updated 30/Nov - so after issue started), Acrobat reader DC (26/Nov [suspicious?]), and Easyweather (30/Nov - so after issue started)

PC is WIndows 10 Version 1511 OS build 10586.14, X64 - and was upgraded from win 8.1

one things bothers me and might give some clues... there are loads of errors in event log after resume from sleep.
