Windows 10: Several sign-in issues after Windows 11 update

Prior to the recent update Windows 11, 222H2, I could login to my Surface Pro 2 with just facial recognition, from either sleep mode or turning it on from a cold start. Now, facial recognition leads to a second sign in requirement PIN, password, etc, and the PIN option doesn't work. For the PIN, I get a message along the lines of "PIN isn't available, try another way" sorry, can't recall the exact verbiage but I'm still able to use the password or image option to get through. From the "Sign in options" page in Settings, I have "Automatically dismiss the lock screen if Windows recognize

Definitely not an issue with the Windows Servers as I just re-installed yesterday and got all my updates.

It works, but I still need to fix it so that way I dont have to plug computers directly to the modem to get windows update to work. It was also blocking me from installing directx.

If your wireless router has a built in firewall maybe it's somehow set to block the ports that Windows updates use?

I'd also suggest if it works with it being directly connected then you could try resetting your router to see if this fixes the issue.
