  1. Severe memory leak after last update 80%

Problem - Memory leak, 4 GB Ram ends up with about 80-88% used Ram with only Edge and about 6 windows opened up. Nothing else running except my light on the PC Zemana Anti-Malware and Anti-Logger. Avira is my main. I've been running these 3 guys for a while now. I'm basically just that windows browse type guy without doing much else except watch a movie here and there. I've been on Windows 10 since release day and never had issues whatsoever. I rarely had to even reboot the PC. I keep my PC hooked to the TV and it goes in sleep mode I think when it times out. So for a long time now. I would take about 7 days of use before I needed to do a restart to make things fresh again. Now after about 8 hours memory adds up. 8 hours time, not usage time.

System and Compressed Memory is showing a constant 600-620 MB
The first Edge is showing 468 MB
The 2nd and 3rd Edge showing up are sitting around 178 and 125 MB

I use CCleaner once a week. Run Hitman Pro once a week since Avira and Zemana do their regular scheduled stuff when I'm at work. I never had to close out Edge or anything before. Its always stayed minimal on Ram usage. The PC has handled multiple tabs open in Edge amazing this whole year so I'm not sure whats going on. I had a recent update when I rebooted yesterday that said windows was updated in action center or however its worded. No new programs installed, modded or running.

Just to add the problem did pop up about a week ago. Where after a day it would showcase the same symptoms until I reboot. Even after closing all of Edge and any other user application. The best way to explain it is a slow producing memory leak that without any user changes to what I'm doing would go from 25%-40% usage to 80% in 8 hours. So like a 10% gain in used RAM an hour. I hope we can figure it out. I'm not used to having to reboot once a day and close out my tabs.

    :)

Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter disconnects after about 30-40 minutes.

Using the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter to cast shows streamed online to my TV. After about 30-40 minutes the connection is severed and I have to reconnect. Today videos on YouTube were also slowed and choppy at times. Checked
Task Manager and saw that "Windows Driver Foundation - User Mode Framework Host Process" was using about 80% of available memory and rising. I assume a memory leak is therefore the result of the crashes and other issues, but I haven't been able to find any
    solutions online.

  3. Memory leak after upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop with 4G RAM. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 a few months ago. Ever since, I have experienced a consistent memory leak that requires me to reboot every day. The memory leak occurs even when I have no apps started,
just background tasks. There is no memory leak when I come up in Safe Mode, however. Task manager shows no growth in storage held by any processes over time except for the "system and compressed memory" process, which grows to about 1G before reboot is required.
I get the "Close programs to prevent memory loss" message when RAM is about 80% utilized. If I ignore that message, the computer soon freezes up and has to be rebooted. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem or isolate the cause of the memory leak?
Any explanation for why I get this warning at around 80% RAM utilization instead of close to 100%?

Severe memory leak after last update 80%

Post a screenshot of Task Manager - Performance tab showing memory info. That is the best place to start.

  5. Let me know if anything else is needed. I do have the few tabs open in Edge. But not much changes if I close Edge out.

When that happens check your resource monitor and take note of what is causing the high memory usage
