Windows 10: sfc found errors but could not fix WHAT TO DO

Probably a coincidence but a problem started 11/14/2021 yesterday just after KB5007186 was installed. I attached screen capture of update history. Symptom was my favorite game please don't laugh Plants-vs-Zombies generated a fatal error as soon as I clicked on it, requiring the task manager to terminate the game before the laptop ran out of memory. The errors messages were being created 100's of times a second one on top of the other. It is not possible to get a screen grab of the error and I am lucky to get task manager to terminate the game which never actually ran.System is old Acer

Fix error 0xc000021a Windows 10

I've faced this issue before. It's one of the blue screen of death errors. Im sharing 5 steps that will help you fix Error 0xc000021a

One of the following step will sort out the problem:

1. Repair corrupted system
   
2. Boot window manually
   
3. Resetting computer's BIOS
   
4. DO SFC scan
   
5. Troubleshoot to fix automatically
   

 

SFC Error


Hello,

Recently my PC has rebooted randomly, and then it couldn't find boot device, so I reseated my SATA and power cables going to the HDD. It seemed fine, but SFC found corrupt files. I can't fix this error.

Tried:

• sfc /scannow

Result: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

• Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Result: The component store is repairable. The operation completed successfully.

• Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Result: The source files could not be found.

• Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source

​Result: Error: 0x800f081f
I also attached a DISM log.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

sfc /scannow errors


Important thing to remember is that the SFC / SCANNOW cannot always fix all errors at once. It is quite often required to run SFC /SCANNOW several times.

I have often had a situation that only a third, fourth or fifth run has finally reported "No more errors".

This is how it should be done:

• SFC / SCANNOW
• If SFC reports not all errors were fixed, reboot and run it again
• SFC / SCANNOW
• If SFC again reports not all errors were fixed, reboot and run it again
• And so on
