Windows 10: SFC /scannow is saying "Windows resource protection could not" blah blah blah you know the rest

please help i have tried sc config trustedinstaller start=demand and that but start=auto and they both didnt work, im 70 percent sure windows modules installer is working because i started it and also used manual mode and automatic mode both didnt work i also obviously did net trustedinstaller blah blah whatever you call it (lol) and i am running a SFC scan because my start key and search bar and cortana wont work and my wifi icon doesnt show up at the task bar and when i access it i have tried it in safe boot mode (from system configuration) also i tried factory resetting but i need 3 GIGABYTES OF DATA REQUIRED FOR THE REVERSE OF INSTALLING WHICH IS A PROCESS THAT TAKES UP DATA MEANWHILE UNINSTALLING (factory reset uninstalls everything) FREES UP SPACE IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE and because 90% of my storage space is important program files i only have about 2 gigabytes plz help

To assist you properly we need to know the complete error message received and the sequence of actions you used prior to receiving error message, (sorry, blah, blah, is not an error message I am familiar with).

I see you have solved the error anyway, it may help others.

I started having this issue this morning; did a google search came here first.....you know the answer.....blah blah. I saw another post somewhere else stating that dropbox was causing this problem. I installed dropbox yesterday. I uninstalled it performed
a shutdown from the command line; "shutdown /s" and low and behold I no longer have the issue. Hope this helps!
