    SFC /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\windows


    I am trying to repair a Windows 10 install that will not boot, even from safe mode. I have booted into a winPE environment using a USB drive but I am unable to run SFC. When I enter "SFC /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\windows" I get a "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service" error.

    Windows will boot to a defocused login splash screen but no further.

    Im trying to make this command: sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\windows but it doesnt work!

    The title is wrong. I used this: C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows
