SFC unable to repair file, not sure how to locate file manually to fix

After sfc /checknow, I get the following at the end of the log:

2019-12-16 12:51:19, Info CSI 000001fe [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:34]'System.Workflow.ComponentModel.dll' of System.Workflow.ComponentModel, version 4.0.15788.146, arch msil, versionScope neutral, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35} in the store, hash mismatch

2019-12-16 12:51:19, Info CSI 0000020b [SR] Verify and Repair Transaction completed. All files and registry keys listed in this transaction have been successfully repaired

On-screen it says it found problems and successfully repaired them, but log file says otherwise!

Any idea how I could fix the System.Workflow.ComponentModel.dll? I don't have any other copies of it.

Note: I've used DSIM tool which reported it worked succesfully, yet SFC is still giving the error above.

I have VS 2017 and VS 2019 installed and both up to date if that makes any difference?

    :)

    Need Vista SP1 32bit files.

Hey guys. I'm new to this forum, but noticed you had helped someone else get crucial vista files.

Some of my Vista files are appearing corrupted with I do a sfc /scannow, but a system repair and sytem file checker won't actually fix them so I'm going to have to do it myself.:shadedshu

Can some one give me these following files for Windows Vista SP1 32bit.

    • Explorer.exe
    • Aero.theme
    • Regedit.exe
    • notepad.exe
    • imageres.dll
    • calc.exe
    • spwhizimg.dll
Explorer.exe is the most crucial though. Thanks guys.

SFC Finds Corrupt Files but is Unable to Fix

When you get this error it means that the System File Check a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection simply could add/repair missing or corrupted files or other problems with these files.

If you get this error you should try the following a few times:
    • sfc/scannow
    • reboot
    • sfc/scannow
Only when after a few times sfc/scannow still hasn't solved it, then you could try DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.

A reboot is necessary for sfc in order to try to fix the problems, it usually takes a few tries for sfc to solve the problems.

    Corrupted file RAR

If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:
    • Open WinRAR application in your system.
    • Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
    • A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
    • Now click Open button.
    • Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
    • Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
    • Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
    • Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
    • WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.
I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.

    Thanks.
