Windows 10: Shared Ethernet devices not showing on Win 11 PC and File Sharing Problems

Now that I am sure my Ethernet connections are OK, here are my real problems:I had my Ethernet LAN working for years. Upgrading some connected PCs to Win 10 did not cause a problem.One of the PCs in the network was a Win XP PC. I bought a Win 11 PC on the Black Friday sales - a reallynice PC with a SSD that is fast for me - I do mostly number crunching with Excel. In setting up the Win 11 PCI followed Microsoft's advise and switched all my PCs to Pin logon. I thought the Win 11 PC would connect to themy LAN automatically. I've been playing with this ever since and am now resorting to 'Snea

Win 10 Network file sharing

I have 3 pcs on a network. One desktop running Win 10 and another desktop running Vista. They are connected to the network via Ethernet. The other pc is a laptop running Win 10 and connected via WiFi.
The Win 10 laptop can see and share files from the Vista desktop. The Vista desktop can see and share files from the Win 10 laptop. They both can neither see or share files from the Win 10 desktop. They both know it is there because they show it as a media
device only.
The Win 10 desktop can see and share files from both the Win 10 laptop and the Vista desktop.
I have shared the files on the win 10 desktop and tried to set all the sharing options I could locate. I have compared the settings of the 2 Win 10 pcs and I think the match as far as I can tell.
Any ideas on what the problem might be with the network?

Windows 7 File Sharing between computers, PROBLEMS!!

Don't worry about homegroup. It's just an additional layer (of 'convienience') above 'old' classic Windows Shares mechanism.
If your transfers are terrible with this setup, they will most probably be as terrible with any other approach.

At first, focus on wired ethernet. Copying a file between HTPC and PC will show you transfer rate. Also... If you go to "task manager", you'll see network speed (network tab).
Focus on wired ethernet for now... what speeds are you getting ?

Sharing Problems

Thanks for the suggestion, that menu is new to me, but no they're both checked. The problem isn't just the printing, I can't access PC1 at all. I should at least be able to get into shared files or devices but I just always get that error.

Windows Firewall and avast on both. I've disabled both on both computers temporarily to no avail. The problem seemingly lies elsewhere.
