  1. Shared experience account I cannot delete which keeps asking for a fix 2

This is the same title as a prior thread "Shared experience account I cannot delete which keeps asking for a fix". But, it was private and I can't see the answer. And, I need an answer.

Prior to July 2020, I had a shared experience on my personal microsoft PC with a microsoft account run by my employer. I had this "shared experience", mainly, to access my company email and their microsoft based applications word, onedrive, ppt, one note, etc... However, last July 2020, I left that company and they have naturally deleted my account. On my end, I have deleted everything and anything I could find linked to the microsoft account from my former employer currently, I am with a new employer who also uses microsoft based services, which I currently have a shared account....

The problem is that I keep getting notifiedto "Fix" my "shared experience". And when I click on that notification and then click on "fix now" settings-->shared experiences-->accounts-->fix now button, I keep getting my former companies portal. Take note that I no longer have an account to login, nor do I have the ability to contact the IT specialist from my old employer.

How do I take out my former employer's "shared experience" and all my former employer's connections? I have been told from my former colleges that I may need to wipe my computer, restore it, and start anew. I am trying to not to do this because I have settings pretty customized. Is there a smoother and more straight forward way to "fix" my shared experience so that I am no longer linked to my old employer? How do I get it to stop pulling up my old employer's login page?

    help.

    :)

  2. Shared experience account I cannot delete which keeps asking for a fix

I have, under shared experience, Accounts, some of your accounts need fixing, and when I click fix now, it brings me to a Commonwealth of Massacusetts account. xxxxx,*** Email address is removed for privacy ***. I was an employee of the Commonwealth but retired last month. The account
is no longer active. When I click "Manage your accounts", I see my personal hotmail account under e-mail, calendar and contacts - fine with that. I also see under Accounts used by other Apps both my hotmail account and the *** Email address is removed for privacy *** account. It gives
me a choice to manage that account, which then tries to get me to sign in to it, but it is not active. It gives me no choice to delete it. Why not, and how do I delete it? I have removed every app or reference within my apps such as Onenote and Outlook
    to the account.

    Shared Experiences

    Hi,

Shared Experiences allow you to start a task on one device and finish it on another, or easily set up a remote control or other companion apps on a smartphone. If you don’t want to use the feature, we suggest that you disable it. Kindly follow these steps
    below:

    • Click
      Start.
    • Select
      Settings.
    • Click
      System.
    • Select the Shared experiences link on the left-hand side. Here you will see a switch that lets you toggle the Share across devices feature to the On or Off position.
    • Enable it then restart your computer.
    • Go again to Shared Experiences in Settings app, and disable it completely.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

  4. Shared experience account I cannot delete which keeps asking for a fix 2

Microsoft Account Problem - Shared Experiences Error

Roughly every time I boot up my machine, I get a windows pop-up that there is a Microsoft Account Problem and that "we need to fix your account (most likely your password changed). Select here to fix it in Shared experiences settings."

When I click to fix the issue, it usually asks me for my password and then says my accounts are fine. The next time that I reboot though, the same pop-up occurs.

Reading the forums, I haven't found anything that permanently fixes this issue. I've tried:

    1. The Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistance program seems to delay this pop-up for a few reboots before it starts occurring again

    2. I have turned off "Nearby sharing" and "Share across devices" in the Shared Experiences settings

    3. I only have one account listed in my shared experiences accounts.. nothing out of the ordinary

Appreciate any help that can be given here.
