Windows 10: Shared folder in windows 10 show login windows but is disabled shared by password.

All windows updates applied to both computers. Shared password protection is disabledThe folder is shared by all read/ writeI try to access the shared folder and windows asks me for username and password.This has started to happen since a couple of days... Why?I've tried everything and it doesn't make sense.

Map Windows 7 Shared Folder to Win 95

I am able to map the folder shared by the Windows 7 machine on my XP Pro machine without problem.
I cannot get the Windows 95 machine to map the folder shared by the Windows 7 machine.
The Windows 95 machine will map a drive shared by an XP machine just fine.

 

Network share to require login

Alright what i am trying to do is have a password, or login required to access some shared folders on a computer. All computers are using XP Pro SP2, now i have had situations in the past were i try to access a shared folder over the network on a laptop and it asks for a username and password before it will let me access it. This is what i am trying to setup. Even if i was able to assign the folder permissions for a specific user account.

Any help?

 

How to stop sharing folder for windows 10?

Referring to following link, I would like to know on how to stop sharing folder for windows 10.

I cannot find Stop Sharing option on step 5.

Use these steps to stop sharing any folder on Windows 10:

1. Open Start.
   
2. Search for Computer Management and click the top result to open the experience.
   
3. Expand the Shared Folders branch from the left pane.
   
4. Click the Shares item.
   
5. Right-click the folder that you no longer want to share and the Stop Sharing option.
   

Furthermore, ADMIN$ is found to be Remote Admin under computer management.

There is no option to stop it as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop sharing and remote?
