Windows 10: Shared network folders closing by themselves

I'm running windows 10 pro version 21H2If I open a folder that is stored on my pc, it will stay open in the background until I choose to close it.If I open a folder on a shared network location A drive on a server computer that I am wired into if the folder is in the background, and i am working in another program, the folder will close by itself within maybe 30 minutes, even if i have a file open from that location. For some reason, If I do a search for something specific, as long as the folder is showing search results, it will not close at all.I have to constantly tab back and forth from

How to change icons of network share folders?

Okay, I may be under-complicating this, but I use shortcuts to my network shares very effectively, to give each shared folder its own distinctive icon. That's what larc919 suggested in #3 above.

I have a folder of Network shortcuts in my Start menu apps list, and each shortcut bears its own badge.
