Windows 10: Sharepoint sync to File Explorer issues

I have 2 laptops and I have a personal 365 account and I am on a business 365 account as well. My personal OneDrive is working on both laptops, but the business sharepoint is only visible in file explorer one of the laptops. I can open the sharepoint site on-line, but whenever I sync I am asked to set up One Drive. I sign in, but when it tries to sync I get the message "There was a problem connecting to OneDrive. Check your internet connection and Try again. Error Code: 0x8004de40". There is no issue with the internet connection.I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive. I've tr

Sync to SharePoint Online says can't sync _w and _t but I don't see them

Thanks for your suggestion. Im using the built-in Sync icon in SharePoint Document folder. That maps the folder to your PC for File Explorer drag and drop. I just changed all the folder attributes to normal. I stepped out for lunch but will try moving
the folders again shortly.

 

Restore SharePoint mappings in Windows Explorer

In my company we use a selfmade tool which makes a backup of network mappings, installed network printers, specific user settings, custom files/folders, ... We are now in a transition to Office 365 and SharePoint.

If you go via a web browser to a SharePoint Document Folder you have a button Sync. This button adds a link to the SharePoint Document Folder in your Windows Explorer.

My goal is to make a backup of these SharePoint links so that I easily can add these links back in Windows Explorer if a user gets a new computer (or in case computer must be reinstalled).

• I found out that these "SharePoint links" are stored in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OneDrive\Accounts
• I exported that branch out of the registry.
• Then I stopped the sync of the SharePoint Document Folders in my Windows Explorer so the links are gone.
• I than imported the registry keys but this does not show the SharePoint Document Folders in my Windows Explorer (even not after a restart)

Does someone know how to solve this?

 

SharePoint Renaming Issue

Sorry for the late response. I will help you further troubleshoot the issue.

When testing in the SharePoint sync folder on my computer, I didn't reproduce the issue when I tried saving a file from Outlook to the sync folder and then renaming the file. It worked when I renamed Word and PDF file.

To narrow down the situation, may I know if this issue only happens when you rename files in the SharePoint sync folder? What about when you rename files in other local folders in File Explorer?

If issue only happens in SharePoint sync folder, you may try resetting OneDrive App, then set up syncing SharePoint files with OneDrive again.

If same issue persists, I understand how frustrating this situation can be and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. To further investigate the issue, I would appreciate if you could share following information:

1.May I know the version of your OneDrive App and Windows OS?

2.Does the same issue happen in all of your SharePoint folders synced in File Explorer?
