Windows 10: SharePoint - UNC designation of files

I am wishing to write directly to SharePoint using a windows based piece of software that is restricted to only being able to reference the UNC. The browser that is used at my organization is Edge, and I therefore am unable to see the UNC of a SharePoint file, which I believe you could do in IE 11.Does anyone know if this is possible to do, or can suggest an alternative method. Basically I want to drop a file into SharePoint without using SharePoint interface available in Edge.

Could not open SharePoint Designer from Edge

Hi,

When I am working on SharePoint 2013 with Edge, I occsationally need to open SharePoint Designer from SharePoint.

I don't know if I have ever indicate to Windows 10, but now it only switch to Office (descktop) rather than SharePoint Designer.

Is there a way to change this association?

Windows file share (UNC) document access via Windows Mobile 6

Does anyone have documentation on how exactly to access UNC paths from a Windows Mobile 6 device? Is this done via Internet Explorer?



We have Exchange 2007 configured to permit UNC & Sharepoint access (works fine from Outlook Web Access) but not having any luck from our mobile devices.

 

Sharepoint sync - massive delay - Windows events log file

Hi All,

How do I view the events log?

The M365 team are suggesting taking a manual backup of Sharepoint, then reestablishing a Sharepoint sync "from scratch". Please forgive any knowledge gaps.

They've advised this has a possibility of losing sharepoint data. We are therefore reluctant to perform this step if an event log can point to an alternative fix.
