    Hi reddit!

    I recently built a PC for my GF and since I already have a multimonitor setup, I set her up so that she simply uses my secondary (UHD) monitor.

    The setup is as follows:

    Mine

    • PC connected to both displays via DP

    Hers

    • PC connected to my secondary monitor via HDMI (has only one DP connection)

    Now whenever we are both using our PCs, I have the problem that as the secondary is still on, my PC still recognizes it and doesn't realize that I am not using it. Certain programs open on it, thus being invisible to me. I can of course get them to the main display, using the Win + arrow keys shortcuts, but I kind of wish that I could tell Windows that currently there is only one display available. Is there any way of doing that short of taking out the cable (as this would be a very regular hassle)?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 10 Sharing Issue

    Hi Ennycloe,

    There are several reasons why does other computers are unable to access your file from Windows 10. To make sure where this issue is coming from, we suggest that you run the built-in HomeGroup troubleshooter. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • Type troubleshooting on the Windows search box.
    • Click on View all which is located on the left pane.
    • Choose Home group and then Shared Folders.
    • Follow the on screen steps.

    Let us know the results from the troubleshooter.
