Windows 10: Sharing documents in Word and PDF Client

Since the last update of Windows 10 I have had LOTS of problems. I have figured most of them out (trying to force MS Office 365 when I already have MS Office 2013 installed)

I share lots of documents using eMclient. This has never been an issue. I work on a document, I 'share' to email and it opens the program. The same was true for Foxit PDF.

Now when I wish to email a word document or PDF, I get a screen saying "Welcome to Outlook 2013" and asks me to configure it. Before you answer, I ALREADY HAVE set eMClient as my default email program at least a hundred times and this screen STILL comes up. I DON'T want to use Outlook 2013.

I am have a growing hatred of the grabbiness of Windows 10. Enough already!

Regarding your PDF documents, the location will be based on where you saved the files. For your second inquiry, your documents can be converted to a PDF. If the original file is from Office Word, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

  In Word, select File > Save As.
  
• 
  Select where you want to save the file.
  
• 
  Type a new File name if you want.
  
• 
  For Save as type, select PDF.
  
• 
  For Optimize for, select an option: Standard or
  Minimum Size.

  Select Open File After Publishing, if you want to open the file after you save it as a PDF. This is selected by default.

  Select Save.

How to save a scanned document as PDF

Hi Chuck.

There are some options that you can do to save the scanned documents to PDF file. You may follow these steps:

• Copy the scanned document.
• Open Word, then paste it.
• Click File > Save As > Choose the location where you want to save it.
• On Save as type, choose PDF > Save.

• What do you mean by “8/8.1 PDF documents show up as Microsoft Edge documents in Windows 10”?
• Are you trying to download any documents from the Microsoft Edge and which shows up as PDF document?
• Are you trying to open any PDF documents which shows up from the Microsoft Edge?

You can set the default PDF reader to open the required documents. You can also open the documents with the supported Reader by right clicking on the document and then choose
open with, select one of the installed Reader to open it.
