Windows 10: Sharing over WiFi

At present working with one machine connected to router wired and one over WiFi. With ver 1803 and both Function
Discovery services set to Auto Start Delayed getting to wired works like a charm. The wired machine can see the WiFi shared drive but, get access denied. Is there something I am missing ? Is there something inherent with sharing over WiFi that I am missing ? I shouldn't have to use passwords ?
I have gone through Advanced Sharing, Permissions, Device settings and WiFi Driver settings. Also a ton of posts about sharing.

Sharing folders over network - access denied

To troubleshoot your concern with sharing files over the network using your Windows 10 device, we suggest that you run the Shared folders troubleshooter and check if it helps. Kindly refer to the steps below:

• Type in Troubleshooting in the search box and press
  Enter.
• Click View all.
• Click Shared Folders.
• Click Next and follow on-screen instructions.
