How can I share programs with other users on my device? I am logged in as an administrator on a windows 10 device and want to install programs like Microsoft Teams, updated Office suite desktop program, or a website-turned desktop application, for examples, on to other local user accounts they will be given admin privileges without logging into those accounts to do it. Is this possible?

Do I have to set up some kind of group policy that will cause certain programs/apps/shortcuts to be loaded on to a local account when it is created? Or is there a way to copy my desktop shortcuts, applications, and programs then send that format/template over to the other user accounts

    :)

  2. Allow Standard User run application as admin

we have a shortcut that is calling a .exe file that requires admin rights by the UAC. I would like to be able to run the application without any admin rights or give the standard user admin rights only to this .exe. What we have done and failed.

    1. Application properties >> security >> Advanced >> Permissions >> Full Control

to local group A (which includes the user) and user by them self.
      1. Gave ownership of folder to local Group A.
      2. I looked in Regedit and I see the user, and they have full control for that application.
      3. have checked run as admin and unchecked too.
We do not want to use /savecred because of security risk. What other steps can we take to find a solution.

Local administrator windows 10 user and folder name change (full change)

    Hi Shaaddi,

Have you made sure that the account currently logged-in to has Administrator privileges? You can verify this by following these steps:

    • Press Windows key + I on your keyboard and click Accounts.
    • Click Your info on the left pane.
    • Under your account picture, you can see if the account is a Local Admin.

If the account is not an Admin account, we suggest making one and try to transfer the files from there. Here's an
article for a guide on how to create a local user
or admin account in Windows 10.

Update us if the issue is resolved.

Windows 10 Cant uninstall programs/use Admin permissions

    Hi Connor,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. Let me assist you.

Provide us with the below details for better clarity on the issue.

    • Have you installed all pending updates on the system?

    • Are you facing this issue on a Local account or the Microsoft Account?

I suggest you to Sign out from the current user account, restart the system and login to the Admin account to check if that helps.

Further you need to run the Disk clean up tool which will help you in this issue.

Refer the below link to perform a Disk Clean Up.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-10/disk-cleanup-in-windows-10

If the issue persists then enable the built in admin account from the
Windows Recovery Environment, login to that account and then uninstall unwanted programs or applications. You are getting an error when you try to enable the hidden admin account as the command only runs on an Elevated command prompt, i.e.,
an admin Command prompt. As you can’t access that on your system, I suggest you to go to Windows Recovery Environment and use the Command Prompt there, which is elevated.

    Follow the below steps:-

    • Press Shift and Restart from the power icon (together)

    • Select Troubleshoot.

    • Go to Advanced Options.

    • Select Command Prompt.

    • Type "net user Administrator /active:yes"

    • Hit Enter.
An user account with the name Admin will be created. Log in with that account and you will be able to access Admin privileges. You can also create more Administrator accounts with that account.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance, we’ll be glad to assist you.
