Windows 10: Sharing video using SyncPlay and chat using discord Problem

Hello, this far more complicated than I thought it would be.

I dont think there is a solution, bit hope there is.

I currently use SyncPlay to watch video with my Son at a different location, also use discord to chat through headphones at the same time. I set the PC speaker output to headphones.

I now need to watch the video ( played on my & my Sons PC, simultaneously, on my Lounge TV, while being able to talk to him via a headset. To this end I have been exploring how to share the PC screen to my TV, having tried many options and failed, I bought a long hdmi cable and can now share the PC screen with my TV....BUT, the audio from the PC can only go to the TV OR headset to both, so I plugged the headset into the TV headphones out, but that cut out the TV speakers. But even if it didnt do this, My Wife would hear my Son over the TV, having a conversation with me on the headset.

the only solution so far I can see, is to use a laptop, with SyncPlay and discord, with the output set to my headphones, so I would hear both video audio and my son. The PC would have SyncPlay running with the same same room as the laptop, with the audio set to the TV.....that way my Wife would only hear the video audio and I would hear both on my headset..

just seems a little OTT.....any better solutions would be appreciated.

sorry for the long story, but background info is needed to avoid solutions I have already tried.

Discord issue

the only thing l didnt install from the HP websites drivers was my GPU drivers any updates l get l get through the HP software.

the weird thing is l originally thought this was an issue with me using discord while playing Final Fantasy XIV, however yesterday l was chatting with a friend helping him set up a server and the screen started flashing black which pretty much suggests the problem is pretty much has discord at its center, that said Bitdefender has some form of Mic protection that l havent gotten around to turning off. though given whatever the issue is, is causing (intermittent) display issues it seems like a real long shot.. though l can say is it only happens while voice chatting.

Discord voice chat makes mouse and gamepad unresponsive

As the title states, Discord's voice chat makes my mouse and gamepad unusable until I leave voice chat or close Discord. It usually works for a while, then suddenly my mouse clicks don't do anything (cursor still moves), and/or the gamepad "disconnects," even though the guide button light is solid. The only thing that works as far as HID devices go is the keyboard. I've had this issue happen on two different computers.
