Windows 10: sharp bd-brd50_aq usb device BlueRay player

I recently installed the sharp bd-brd50_aq usb device on my laptop when I check device manger it shows up as a cd-rom not a blueray player. I have not been able to find the correct drive to show blueray player. thanks for your help

Windows 10 DVD player and Blueray

I upgraded my computer to 10 and now I can't play DVDs from by BD-DVD drive. I downloaded the Windows DVD app and it will play DVDs but it will not play BlueRay DVDs. The driver has all of its updates and so does my computer. I've shut it off and turned
it back on. I've done all that I know to do. Can anyone help?

 

VMware-usb storage device not recognized

I'm running Windows XP in Workstation Player on a Windows 10 laptop.

My USB CD/DVD drive is able to mount in the Player. So is a flash drive.

My Western Digital ssd (My Passport Ultra) is listed in "Removable devices", but fails to mount, giving this error:





In the Virtual Machine settings, the USB controller is using usb 2.0.

The WD ssd is compatible with usb 3.0 and 2.0, and is supported by Windows XP. My desktop computer running Win XP has no problem mounting the drive.

The device manager in virtual Win XP shows it as an "unknown device."

I've read everything I can find on the problem, and tried a number of suggestions from the knowledge base at VMware as well as solutions via google searches.

Perhaps the WD ssd just won't work on the free version of VM Workstation Player (v. 14).

Anyone have any suggestions?

blueray not being detected

Hi all,

my windows 8 isnt detecting my blueray player. so i entered the bios and changed from ahci to ide. then reboot. then blue ray is detected in bios but OS wont start until i revert bios back to ahci. then blueray iint detected again.
