Windows 10: Shift 2 does not work Please read description

My shift 2 key does not work to type the at symbol. I have tried 4 different keyboards. My language setting is US QWERTY, I have installed English Canada, as well as English UK, Shift 2 does nothing in any of them . My shift keys work, my 2 key works, my #$% works, but shift + 2 together, and they type nothing. I have tried logitech keybords, Razer keyboards, HyperX keyboards, and even the onscreen keyboard. The onscreen keyboard shows the 'at' symbol, but it does not actually type it. I have removed ALL keyboard drivers from my system and reinstalled them from updates, twice now. I'm beginnin

WaasMedicSvc description reads " failed to read description" error 2

Before any change, the entry read '@WaaSMedicSvcImpl.dll,-101'

This gave the error #2 with failed to show description.

I did try to change it to @WaaSMedicSvc.dll,-101 as in your photo,

and now the error was error #1500, same failed to show description.

I then just added my own text string and it showed my text string.

I feel it is not pulling the string from the DLL somehow but not sure why.

Scannow and all the dism commands return no issues.

Does it need a full path maybe or perhaps some update caused this?

I also notice WassMedicSvcImpl.dll is located in several folders in the Windows folder.

 

shift keys not working

I upgraded to windows 10 on my Toshiba laptop and then did the windows update and when I tried to do anything with the shift key neither one works. I read all the suggestions I could find in here and tried most of them with no luck. I ran the hardware
and device troubleshooter, I went to the keyboard on control panel and it says it's working properly. I tried shift/control/alt keys all together. I downloaded and scanned with anti malware and I did the fn and del keys with no results. I would like an easy
fix for this as I believe it is a windows 10 and or update for windows 10 issue. I am not real savvy on the computer so I need step by step instructions, please and thank you.

 

WaasMedicSvc description reads " failed to read description" error 2

If I look in registry I see key 'description' with entry "@WaaSMedicSvcImpl.dll,-102"

If I just change this to any text, the description is correct in services.msc.

But what is it actually pulling from this waasmedicsvcimpl.dll,-102? Is it an offset with the description? Because it does not work. It doesn't get the description from this DLL.
