Windows 10: Shift - Insert combination not working

My new HP laptop insert function is not responding. I've run the HP support software runs outside of Windows via a reboot into it's own environment - HP PC Diagnostic UEFI utility and it confirmed that the insert key functions when used as fn+Insert combination, but not in Windows 11.The paste/insert via right mouse click works but being old school I tend to use the keyboard for paste/insert ops.Can you help?Neville

Shift+4 key combination not working

• Do the other combination with shift key are working?
• Did you made any changes to the computer prior to this issue?

I suggest you to update your keyboard drivers and check if it helps.

Method 1: Update keyboard drivers.

• Press Windows key + X key and click on
  Device manager.
• Click on Keyboards.
• Right-click on the Keyboards and click on
  Update driver software.

Keyboard: some Shift- combinations do not work from time to time

When using SHIFT to type !, @, #, $, ( or ) they sometimes do not work. A while later, they may work for a short time. Sometimes the problem does not show up for days. Steps taken so far:

• The device manager shows no issues.
  
• Test programs found nothing or suggest it may be a hardware error.
  
• When using on-screen keyboards, there is no issue.
  
• The keyboard drivers have been de-installed and automatically re-installed
  
• The latest drivers are installed
  
• Have removed and re-selected the language keyboards

Contol + Shift key combinations functions not working


I have just purchased a new HP Envy Laptop model 15-A E05SA. and have upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1.
However, for some reason the Control + Shift key plus other key combination functions do not seem work.
For example Ctrl+Shift+f9 should remove all hyperlinks from selected document text also Ctrl+Shift+ should magnify page, etc but do not work.
The Ctrl key, Shift key and function keys work normally individually but not in a combination.
I would welcome any guidance.
