Windows 10: SHIFT KEY IS STUCK< EVERYTHING IS STILL WORKING BUT ALL THE CHARACTERS THAT HAS A DIFFERENT...

SO FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS I"VE BEEN HAVING A HARD TIME WITH MY SHIFT KEY BECAUSE IT WOULDN"T WORK UNLESS I REALLY PUSH IT> BUT AFTER A WEEK OR SO< I GUESS I"VE PRESSED IT TOO HARD THAT NOW EVERYTHING IS ON SHIFT AND ALL THE CHARACTERS THAT HAS ANOTHER CHARACTER BY USING THE SHIFT IS SHOWING INSTEAD OF THE ORIGINAL ONE AND ALL THE CHARACTERS I"M TYPING ARE BIG> THEY ONLY TURN SMALL IF I USE THE capslock _ like this>

I am pressing them together, even though it doesn't appear on the Kybd Event Viewer screenshot. Both shift keys are working normally with other keys. But for some reason neither shift key works with the single-quote key.

I did try Sticky Keys and it works! The double quote character appears when I use it. However, it works for ALL keys, which isn't good for me; I'd have to totally change my typing patterns. I only want it to work with the single-quote key, and I don't think that's possible. The ShortKeys solution works well.

Shift keys not behave as expected in windows 10 | HP elitebook

My shift keys are not behaving as expected. Please find following concerns.

• When press right shift key then prints q character.
• When press left shift key then prints z character
• When i need to print A it prints as qA

I didn't change any settings or configurations.

Can anyone suggest to solve this issue. I'm helpless right now.

 

Shift+D not working??

Had same problem with right Shift and D only. Left Shift and D was working, right Shift and D was not doing anything (not a small d but nothing at all). All other Shift key combinations were working. In my case turned out the print screen button on the keyboard was stuck. Once released worked fine. So if a key isn't working pays to see if some other keys are stuck.
