Windows 10: Shortcut to open a new tab instead of window.

Is there a way to make folder shortcuts open a new tab instead of a new window when I open them? Theses are shortcuts for folders in File Explorer

recently Microsoft added a new feature to windows explorer, which is the Windows Explorer Tabs, so I tried to search for a shortcut to open any folder/folders I'm selecting in a new Tab on the same windows explorer window, but I couldn't find any shortcut for that on the internet after a little search,



can you help me please and tell me what is the shortcut to open folder/folders in a new Tab in the same Windows Explorer window if there is one for it?,

Icons for shortcuts on Apps tab

To change the icons for shortcuts on the Apps tab in Windows 10, you need to follow these steps:

1. Right-click on the shortcut and select Properties from the dropdown menu.
   
2. Navigate to the Shortcut tab. If the shortcut points to a web page instead of an application, look in the “Web Document” tab.
   
3. Select Change Icon at the bottom of the window.
   
4. You’ll see all alternative icons available for the app in the Windows library. If you want to use a custom icon, click Browse and locate the ICO file that you want to use. You can convert PNG images to ICO files using online tools like ConvertICO.
   
5. Once you select an icon, click OK to apply it.
   

You can repeat this process for any shortcut on the Apps tab that you want to customize.

What is the open in new Tab Shortcut?

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

I am not sure if there is a shortcut for opening in a new tab apart from selecting from the right click context menu.

Please note that this is an initial Windows Tabs release - improvements would come in the future.
