    Shortcuts disappearing/breaking after KB5022282


    Hi, Anyone else having this issue?KB5022282 was installed on our organisations PC's yesterday/today and shortcuts to applications not just windows apps are disappearing/breaking. App still installed on C drive.ThanksDan

    Desktop shortcuts disappearing

    One of the computers i maintain has a few of the desktop shortcuts disappearing now and then. It runs windows 7, and has a shitload of shortcuts on the desktop.

    Any idea what might cause this?

    I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

    • Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
    • Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
    • Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
    • Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.Shortcuts disappearing/breaking after KB5022282 :)

    Windows 10 Pro and Ergnomic Break Reminder

    Hi,



    Apologies for the late reply.



    Do you remember installing any break reminder software?



    It looks like it is a pop up from a break reminder software.



    I suggest you to look for this in Programs in features and uninstall it if do not use it.



    Try the following steps:


    • Press Windows + R keys to open Run Command

    • Type Appwiz.cpl and hit enter

    • Search for the programs and un-install it.
