    Hi Robert,

    thanks for your reply. I think I'm getting a bit of browser fatigue here, so just to make sure I don't screw things up, can you tell me exactly what I should be tracing (and what aspects of the trace I should be recording), please? Also, if I change my
    DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 (Google Public DNS addresses) will that take care of the barefruit.co.uk issue? Lastly, should I change the DNS servers before or after the tracing?

    Internet connection problem

    Help! my adapter cannot cone nect to internet because of DNS,the connection is fine for some minutes and then its messed up again.

    i already try every way like

    changing the DNS server

    flush DNS,renew

    everything!

    Should i change my adapter or what?

    This Free and Public DNS Servers article (just updated) provides additional explanations why changing from an ISP-provided DNS service may be beneficial. The article also gives snippets of information about the different DNS services it lists, for example - the filtering levels in the different Norton ConnectSafe Policy services.

    If you want to swap between different DNS providers quickly then consider using something like Nir Sofer's QuickSetDNS. I've just added (and changed to) Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 so my current QuickSetDNS (which I carry around on my 'Utilities' USB flash drive) looks like this:
