Windows 10: Should I downgrade to directx 11 ?

I'm trying to run a game called the first descendant but I keep getting this message everytime I launch it: DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument.I also tried to change the launch option on steam to -dx11 but it's not working.

My DirectX 11 Graphic card was downgraded to DirectX 10

I trying to fix and restore my laptop's Radeon ™ HD 4500 DirectX 11 graphic card

which has been downgraded to "DirectX 10" by default from Windows 7 into 10.

I went to see whether I could download a driver from AMD but my HD 4500 card isn't in the list of supported card for

Windows 10. This is just ridiculous, as now I'm having trouble & eventually

not being able to play a game I want. So much for update.

It's not like my graphics isn't able to run DirectX 11, it's stated right infront of me

that it is DirectX 11 right at the original sticker still stuck on my computer.

There is no way to downgrade from DirectX12 to DirectX 11, one version does not overwrite the other, they are installed side by side.

What happens when you try to open the game?

DirectX 12 is backward compatible with previous versions of DirectX

Lots of users have installed DirectX 11 for gaming purposes and this has caused system crashes, BSOD's . . . etc.

The best solution is run the apps that require DirectX 11 in compatibility Mode and choose Windows 8 compatibility
