    Should i just stop my laptop from updating?


    i began restarting my laptop after it showed me the yellow restart symbol on my taskbar, i think this was to update windows (it's windows 10 of course, why else would i be posting on thsi sub?). it's been almost two hours and the update is only 25% done??? i don't understand why it's taking so long and i'm frankly worried that it's taking this long. is it my pentium processor? is it because my tablet is connected to the laptop despite it not being turned on? it's not overheating. i'm contemplating turning off my laptop and canceling the update process, would that be a good idea?

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
