Windows 10: Should I run SFC /scannow at X:\>, C:\>, or D:\>?

In attempt to resolve a black screen problem I brought up the command prompt on WinRE and would like to run SFC /scannow. Should I run the command at X:\Windows\System32>, X:\>, C:\>, or D:\>? Does it make any difference?

you don't have a partition with drive letter D: as your title suggests you are trying

if you are trying to scan the os on c: as the error message suggests, just use sfc /scannow without the offline switches.

 

SFC scannow not working but verify only is working

there is no problem in chkdsk I've checked When I select command prompt and sfc scannow from f8 and repair.. it shows that a reboot is required for pending repair and pending renames folder in winsxs is full of files.. what should I do??
