    This may be a common question, but I cannot find any previous post about it. My PC's Ethernet adapter is an Intel® Ethernet Connection I219-V, which supports a 1GbE data transmission rate. Reading about Ethernet cables I am seeing many recommendations to purchase newer cat7 and cat8 cables, even though they may be overkill, they are an investment in "future-proofing" my LAN. The problem is, I have also read that Windows 10 is not entirely compatible with 10GbE and there are many reports for instance in the Amazon product reviews and elsewhere from people buying these cables and getting slowe
