  1. Should I use drivers provided by my vendor or Windows Update?

So, I have a Samsung laptop and they have an app to update the drivers. But the graphics driver they provide is older than the one available through Windows Update. I don’t know if it’s better to stick with them or Windows.

Also, the screen brightness doesn’t change when I plug the laptop to the charger since 1903 and I have no idea why. I thought it was the graphics driver, but neither the one they provide nor the one Windows downloads make it work.

If I reset energy settings, it works. But if change the brightness, it stops working, and the option to choose what percentage to change to when plugging/unplugging doesn’t even show up.

I’m thinking that, maybe, for being older (it was release before 1903), the driver that Samsung provides doesn’t recognize something, and the one Windows Update provides is a stripped down version, not tailored by Samsung, like if I were to download from Intel’s website. I don’t know. I honestly don’t see Samsung updating this graphics driver anymore. Does anyone have this trouble with a Samsung laptop that uses Intel’s HD Graphics 520?

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
    Step 1
    reinstall windows from scratch
    Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
    Step 3
    update windows
    Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
    Step 5
    Install GPU drivers
    Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.

Should I use drivers provided by my vendor or Windows Update?

[Windows 10] hide/prohibit install of specific Windows Update

I have never intentionally used windows to provide my device drivers (except for older printers without Vendor drivers for clients). I only manually update from the vendor websites. Will just have to make a list of things to disable/remove if I finally decide to load it up on a machine.
