Windows 10: Show Desktop Button Next To Date and Time on Taskbar No Longer Available

I updated my windows 11 today on 14th February 2024 and it moved the copilot preview button from next to the search button to the right side of the date and time on the taskbar. Now I can no longer click in that corner to take me to the desktop. I know there is a keyboard shortcut but I am used to clicking in that corner. Anyone know how to get it back to the way it was before???

Help with Date+Time in taskbar

I have never changed font size in Windows, always using default desktop / taskbar font and size. Both time and date are shown regardless if I use small or large Taskbar buttons, regardless where Taskbar is positioned or what size it is.

 

How to display both date and time in the small taskbar? Help me understand the Windows 10 taskbar, or fix it

You may try this steps to possibly fix the issue. Actually, as soon as you switch to small taskbar buttons, the taskbar is no longer wide enough to show the date and therefore just omits it. The solution is really simple:

1. Right-click the TaskBar and make sure that “Lock all taskbars” is UNchecked
   
2. Drag the right edge of the taskbar just to make it slightly wider
   
3. *PLOP* the date shows up.
   
4. (Right-click the TaskBar and activate “Lock all taskbars”)

Taskbar clock no longer shows the date, just the time

I booted up my computer today, and noticed that the taskbar clock was only showing the time, not the date and time like it used to.

I want the weekday to show in the taskbar clock, so I've had this custom short date format since the beginning: "ddd d.M.yyyy".

I started to investigate, and apparently Windows has all of a sudden decided that it no longer wants to display this custom date format I have set up. Apparently it now thinks it's too long. If I remove the weekday ("ddd") from the date format, it does displays
the date along with the time.

How can this be fixed so that I can see the weekday too?
