For about the past year or more, each of my 3 monitors showed a random picture from the currently active Theme I installed from the MS Store. Sometimes 2 of the monitors would have the same image, just by random luck, but generally, each monitor had it's own separate image. I recently reinstalled Windows, and all 3 of the monitors changed images in lock-step, with all 3 always showing the same image. After several days of this, I searched the Internet for a solution and found people asking the same question, with no answer. But also found many people with the reverse problem -- they had a diff

In playing around in Settings and Personalization and Themes, it suddenly started doing what I wanted. I now have a different image on each monitor again, but no idea what I did (if anything) that restored this function.

There is clearly some setting somewhere that determines this, because I've had both versions and many users with one state want the other. What setting controls this?

 

Win-10 themes keep changing

• Did you try the steps suggested by Suvarna Govinda above, what was the result?

As I understand the issue, Themes in Windows doesn't have the options to change on its own. Only the Wallpapers in the themes can change as selected ( Picture, Solid color and Slide Show ).

I would suggest you to make us understand that if the Wallpapers are changing in Theme which you have selected.

Below are the steps you can check if it helps.

• Press Windows + I keys and select Personalization.
• Select Theme and select the Default theme.
• Select the Desktop Background below and select the Picture
  and save it and check.

Different theme wallpapers on two different monitors

When I select a theme on my computer, it makes the background the same picture on both of my two monitors.

Before, it would show different backgrounds on the two monitors (two different pictures), but now it just duplicates the image on the second screen, so it's the same picture on both. It would show the different pictures on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

I'm trying to make it so there is two different backgrounds on my two different monitors, even though it is the same theme, and if you know how to do that, please let me know.

It doesn't kill me to have it be the way it is right now, but It's just kind of a nuisance to me.
