Windows 10: Show storage space in This PC

I've done what you've suggested, but still this does nothing to display the storage space bars of my drives.

 

well.... fudge. I'm out of ideas. It almost looks like your windows installation is corrupted somehow. I've got 2 PC's a laptop and a VM running 10. and even though they were all upgraded or installed differently, they all work the way I've described. Sorry, But I'm going to have to bow out on this one. It might be worth your time to try starting a new thread. This one's been closed for eome time. Not sure how many people are going to even see what we did here. Good luck!!!!

 

However, when I attempt to upload an image and select My PC.
This is what displays...

 

in windows explorer click view then select content and you will see all you want

 

Been there done that and this doesn't display the storage space bars on any of my drives.
So far... everything I've tried has failed to display the storage space bars for any of my drives.
Oddly enough,
the storage space bars do display when I attempt to upload images and select My PC?

 

You can try to reset explorer view settings. Here is tutorial by Brink.

 

Thanks for this suggestion.
Resetting the folder view options to default didn't bring up the storage bars for any of my drives.
No matter what view I set it as, the storage bare still doesn't show. Even after setting the folder view options to default.

 

What theme do you use?

 

Thats great. Now if I could only get the pictures folder under This PC to actually show me My Pictures folder !

Did you guys with this problem applied any Theme tweaks or changes, or messed with registry settings or applied folder background settings, etc?

All this can be connected to this strange behavior, which can be very annoying. But it is almost impossible to recommend any solution (besides those resets described in tutorial) without knowing what software or tweaks you used.

Not using any theme. I only changed the wallpaper image, to one I made. No applied themes were installed and also nothing has been done to tweak the registry, in regards to this issue.
I was able to get the bars to show, but only when using Details as the view setting.



Also when uploading the screenshot seen above.
The storage space bars do show in My PC and the view is set to Tiles.



The screenshot above is how I would like it to look, but I can't seem to get it to do this in file explorer, no matter what I do.

 

One more thing to try @Geosammy:

Open Explorer and bring focus to it. Set view to desired state (ie. tiles). Then pres Ctrl and scroll mouse wheel...

The look of selected view will change. Report back if this helps *Smile

 

What you're asking me to do is to simply change the view to Tiles.
This view type doesn't show the storage space bar.



I still have not been able to solve this issue.

I'm now looking for a way, of possibly seeing if there is something in the registry preventing the storage bars form showing.
Would anyone know what the registry location is, that has the information for the explorer view settings?

Also, if anyone who has the storage space bars present in explorer. Can you post what the registry location is for this view and what it is?
