Windows 10: Show thumbnails for images does not work on Windows 10

My Windows 10 does not show thumbnails but icons for images.





I have tried unsuccessfully various tutorials on the web.

First of all, I do not have the option Always show icons, never thumbnails, although I followed the indication from the link above.




The DisableThumbnails Registry setting is disabled.




I also disabled the group policy Turn off the display of thumbnails and only display icons although it was set to Not Configured before.




If I go to Advanced System Properties Performance Visual Effects the optionShow thumbnails instead of icons is not checked. I check it and pressAppy.



However, it does not stay so. If I open this window again, it is unchecked.




I am running Windows 10 Enterprise, version 1909, OS build 18363.778.

Thumbnails won't show images

On Windows 10 my images aren't showing the image in the thumbnail. It's showing a pieces of blank paper. This randomly started happening today. I have checked the "Organize" setting and the "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is unchecked. I'm not sure
what else to do. Any suggestions?

 

Image thumbnails not showing in Windows 10 file explorer

Before you say it - I have tried clearing the cache and unchecking the folder options 'always show icons, never thumbnails' and 'always show menus' and this has changed nothing I STILL CANNOT SEE IMAGE THUMBNAILS, ONLY EMPTY SQUARES... this is very annoying
and, as I work with photos, is a pretty negative issue for Windows 10.

What do I do? Any suggestions, please?

The only major image related thing I have done recently was to install the latest Adobe Photoshop CC...

 

File Explorer - Some PDF's show thumbnail image, some don’t

In Windows 10 File Explorer, I see thumbnails for a few of my pdf files but still see the generic Adobe pdf icon for most of them.

• In Windows 10 folder options, the checkbox for “Always show icons, never thumbnails” is unchecked.
• On the Adobe Reader preferences general tab, “Enable PDF thumbnails previews in Windows Explorer” is checked.
• Adobe Acrobat is set as my default PDF viewer.
• I have used Disk Cleanup to delete all my thumbnails to clear and rebuild the cache, yet the problem persists.

Any suggestions on how I can see all the pdf icons as thumbnails?
