Windows 10: SHOWING PRINTER DRIVER NOT AVAILABLE

MY LAPTOP IS SHOWING DRIVER NOT AVAILABLE WHEN I CONNECT MY PRINTER CUM SCANNER VIA USB.ALSO WHEN UPDATING DRIVER IT SHOW NO DRIVER FOUND.

Epson Printer Driver - XP driver installed on 10 - device not showing as printer

I inherited an Epson Stylus Pro9600(~2003) and would like to get it working for a local non-profit.

• I downloaded the last driver available from the epson site. It was for Windows XP (64-bit)

• Ran setup in "compatibility" mode for running the older driver and it said the driver was installed correctly.
• Try to print and the new printer is not available to print from.
• Checking in the control panel>hardware> "Devices and Printers" the Epson (showing as 'usb2.0 printer') is in the "unspecified Devices" section rather than the "printers" one.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Unavailable Printer Still Showing As Available

I tried to install a printer and had an issue. I was able to successfully install it on a second try. The issue is that the printer name from the first attempt still shows on the list of available printers when I go to print a document. It does not
show up in my list of "Devices and Printers" however. Is there a way to delete the first one from showing up as available when I go to print a document? If I try to select it and print to it, I get an error, so I know it's not available.

 

No printer drive available for Printer under Devices and Printer

We understand that you see “No drivers available” for printer under Devices and Printers in Control Panel. However, it would be great if you can help us with the details requested below:

• What is the make and model of the printer?
  
• Are you able to print documents using the printer?
  
• When you say, “Is this why my fax isn't working” what happens when you try to use fax?
  
• How is the printer connected to the computer?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  
• May I know which update was installed recently? To check go to
  Start >> Settings >> Update & Security >> Windows Update >> View update history.
  

We would suggest you to check if the drivers are installed on the computer or not. Please refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + X, and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand Printers and see if the printer is listed.
   

If the printer driver is not installed, we would suggest you to download the drivers from the printer manufacturer’s website and install them.
