Hello. I got a problem with monitor driver .inf. I'm using a laptop Acer Predator Helios neo 16 and connected it with this Gigabyte G24F monitor. Initially, the monitor performance was good but lately problems keep popping up.Even if I do not plug in the monitor, in Settings-System-Display shows that I have 2 displays. This only happened when I select Nvidia GPU for Display Mode in Nvidia Control Panel. Whenever I choose Optimus, this will never happen. Device settings not migrated shows in the Generic Monitor driver. Uninstalled drivers several times but it came back after restarting laptop

    :)

    Step 2:

Under Device Manager expand Display Adapter

    Step 4:

    Nvidia display is not working

Ramankuar, please explain what you found

    1. In BIOS did you see your nVidia GPU

    2. In Device Manager were both Graphics cards listed?

    3. If you right click your Desktop are nVidia Settings listed on that menu?

    4. In Control Panel, is nVidia Settings app listed?

GPU Selection Preferences Not Honored by Some Applications

I'm encountering an issue with my laptop's GPU selection preferences not being respected by certain applications. Details are as follows:

    Hardware:

    • AMD Ryzen 6900HS processor with AMD Radeon graphics.
    • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU.
    Problem:

    • Attempting to assign the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU for specific applications via Windows Settings>System>Display>Graphics under Custom options for apps.
    • Also configured "High-performance NVIDIA processor" for these applications in NVIDIA control panel to prevent possible conflicts.
    • Despite these settings, certain applications like Inkscape, GIMP, QGIS continue to utilize the integrated Radeon graphics instead of the designated NVIDIA GPU.
    Actions Taken:

    • Clean installation of drivers for both iGPU and dGPU.
    • Ensured Windows is up to date.

    Question:

    • Is it expected for selecting a preferred graphics processor to have no effect on certain programs?
    • Could there be a conflict between Windows OS, integrated Radeon graphics, and the NVIDIA GPU causing this issue?

I understand that application preferences/settings for GPU can override OS settings. Given that some applications are respecting the Windows Graphics settings, I imagine that's what is happening here, but if anyone can confirm that, it would be greatly appreciated.
