Windows 10: Shows how much MB/GB's that Windows update has Downloaded..

Go to:

Settings -> Storage -> This PC -> Temporary Files.

Then you should see a (TAB) with the Name: Windows Updates and there you should see how much MB/GB's it has Downloaded for Updates..

(I think that it shows how much MB/GB it has Downloaded for Windows updates.. i'm not sure it can also that this is just to see how much MB/GB's that Windows Updates has taken on your Hard drive)

I have tested it and damn it's nice to see.

In my Internal memory, 757 mb is MISSING!

In my Lumia 640 XL, internal memory is 8 gb.



Break up of memory consumption is as follows:

Apps+Games +Videos+Music+Photos+Maps+Downloads = 1.64 gb

System = 3.21 gb

Other = 1.66 gb

===================

Total = 6.5 gb



8 gb – (6.5 gb + 779 mb (free space)) = 757 mb



[Note: I've done this calculation based on 1024 mb = 1 gb.]



This 757 mb is unaccounted for!



Can someone please explain this for me?



Btw, the Other folder is hidden? I am unable to unhide it in my PC by selecting "Show hidden files"? How can we have a look at the files in Other?

 

N95 8 GB VS iPHONE

N95 8 GB has much more RAM than N95 (128 MB vs 20 MB), better battery (1200mAh vs 950 mAh)

No, it's the on-disk size of files in the %userprofile%\Downloads folder. Anything you download and leave in there counts in that total. Has nothing to do with Windows Updates which reside in the %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder.
