    Shutdown problems in Windows 11


    Three days earlier, My laptop was abruptly rebooted when it was in idle. After the reboot I checked in the event viewer for the problem. Nothing but one critical event for Kernel-Power has been found. Now the problem is my laptop always performs full shutdowns instead of hybrid shutdowns after that reboot. So I always have to wait 5-6 minutes before it fully boots to desktop. The fast startup option in power control panel is still enabled and I checked disabling and re-enabling that. But that's not working. What should I do now

    We suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issues with the shutdown function of your laptop:

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search bar beside the Windows icon.
    • Select Troubleshooting from the results.
    • Under System and Security, select Fix Problems with Windows Update.
    • Choose Troubleshoot as an Administrator.
