Windows 10: Shutdown takes ages and every update fails

Basically, if I shut down my PC it takes around 5~30 minutes. The disk usage LED on my PC case is constantly on when shutting down. Also, every Windows update fails for some reason.

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

This issue might happen if the Windows Firewall is blocking the game from connecting to the LAN.

I suggest you to add the Age of Empires the Age of Kings, to the exception list of the Windows Firewall and check if the issue is resolved.

Follow the steps below.

  Press Windows key + X key and select
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on View by in the top right panel and select Small Icons.
  
• 
  Find and click on Windows Firewall.
  
• 
  Click on Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall in the left panel.
  
• 
  Click on Change Settings, find and check the Age of Empires the Age of Kings box for both
  Public and Private Columns.
  
• 
  If Age of Empires the Age of Kings is not listed, then click on
  Add and select the installed path of the game.

• good day team, hope every thing is ok.

• its dead even with charger in.
• i just updated it to mango 7.5 couple of days ago
• and today i found other update available when connected to zune but after step 9 "which was restarting" it took about 3 hours and even the process line indicator was not moving move.
• i shutdown my laptop then used the steps of "manaul phone reset -vol.up+dwn then switch on-" which i got from this page when my phone hanged up at the 9th step of restarting also during the previous update "to mango 7.5" but this time it switched off with
  no response.
